Control Engineer - Industrial

Control EngineerDirect Hire | 1st ShiftWe are seeking an experienced Control Engineer to support industrial operations through PLC/DCS maintenance, automation support, and continuous improvement of electrical and control systems. This role is hands-on and includes field work, close collaboration with maintenance teams, and support of plant instrumentation and electrical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and program PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and SLC 500Support and optimize DCS systems (DeltaV)Perform field work to diagnose and resolve control, electrical, and instrumentation issuesSupport maintenance and instrumentation teams with troubleshooting and system improvementsManage and support Burner Management Systems (BMS)Maintain and utilize data historians (e.g., AVEVA PI)Support environmental compliance systems including CEMS/COMSDevelop and implement reliability and automation improvement strategiesLead or support controls-related projects, upgrades, and documentationEnsure control systems meet safety, operational, and regulatory requirementsQualifications / Experience NeededBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology4+ years of industrial controls or automation engineering experience(chemical, coke plant, power generation, or heavy industrial environment preferred)Hands-on PLC experienceExperience performing field-based troubleshooting and supportExperience supporting maintenance teamsKnowledge of industrial instrumentation, sensors, and control devicesExperience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and DeltaV DCSAbility to work independently and collaboratively in an operating plant environmentWhat We Offer:Full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) starting on your first day.Pension and 401k for your future.Holiday pay and vacation pay to help you recharge Linked, LLC is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
