Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse

Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct initial psychiatric assessments of new clientsManage a caseload for ongoing medication needs, including metabolic assessment, appropriate labs/studies and contact with other physiciansChart documentation as per Agency standardsPrescribe medications within standards of psychiatric careParticipate in joint clinical case review meetings with program and case management staff to coordinate care for clientsParticipate in quality improvement process, including chart review for compliance with medical record keeping standardsCollaborate with Medical Director in accordance with Collaboration AgreementProvide staff training, consultation and support in medication education and recordkeepingProvide psychiatric emergency intervention and management for program clientsMaintain regular CEUsConduct groups as needed
