Technology Asset Manager

The OpportunityThe Technology Asset Manager oversees the lifecycle management of an organization's technology assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and related services, to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness. You will manage asset inventory tracking, utilization, maintenance, renewals, and disposal while partnering with IT, finance, procurement, security, and business teams to align technology investments with organizational needs. The Technology Asset Manager also analyzes asset data and usage trends, supports budgeting and forecasting, ensures compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements, and drives process improvements to optimize asset performance, reduce risk, and maximize return on technology investments.The Day-to-DayIn partnership with Procurement and IT management, manage the full lifecycle of technology assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and disposalMaintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software, licenses, and related technology assetsMonitor software license compliance and coordinate renewals to minimize risk and avoid overspendingPartner with IT, procurement, finance, security, and vendors to support technology asset planning and governanceAnalyze asset utilization and cost data to identify optimization, standardization, and cost-saving opportunitiesDevelop and maintain asset management policies, procedures, and documentationSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking related to technology assets and contractsAssist management and Procurement with vendor relationships, including contract tracking, service reviews, and performance monitoringOversee asset disposal processes to ensure data security and environmental complianceCreate reports, dashboards, and metrics related to asset inventory, lifecycle status, costs, and complianceLead or support process improvement programs and technology asset management projectsProvide guidance and training to stakeholders on asset management processes and best practicesYour QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), procurement, IT operations, or related disciplineExperience with hardware, software, and cloud asset lifecycle managementExperience with software licensing models, compliance requirements, and vendor contract managementProficiency with ITSM and asset management tools, such as ServiceNowStrong analytical skills with experience in reporting, data analysis, and Excel or similar toolsKnowledge of IT governance, audit processes, and regulatory/compliance requirementsExperience working in cross-functional and matrixed environments (IT, finance, procurement, and operations)Manage multiple priorities and drive process improvementsExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiativesCertifications such as ITIL, CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager), CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional), or ServiceNow certifications are preferred.Why Fisher InvestmentsWe work for a bigger purpose: bettering the investment universe.
