Accountant Specialist
Position Overview:
The Accountant Specialist will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position involves a range of accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to efficiency initiatives within the accounting function.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
Collaborate with the finance team to identify trends and discrepancies in accounts payable and receivable.
Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Reconcile vendor statements and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and execute payments, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
Generate and send invoices to customers, addressing any billing inquiries or issues.
Maintain accurate records of payments received and follow up on overdue accounts.
Maintain and update accounting records and documentation as necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Support annual audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation and financial analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
2-4 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
