Job Title: Specimen Processing Technician Contract Duration: 2+ MonthsPosition Type: Onsite, 3rd ShiftLocation: Tampa, FLJob Description:Are you a detail-oriented and adaptable individual with experience in data entry and a passion for healthcare? Our client is seeking a Specimen Processing Technician I (SPT I) to join our team. As an SPT I, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and accurate processing of specimens in our laboratory.Responsibilities:Perform general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department, including A-station, presort, pickup and delivery, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting.Ensure all tasks are completed with confidence, accuracy, and in a timely manner.Demonstrate strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of specimen types and compliance regulations.Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing demands and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Work effectively on the night shift, with weekend, holiday, on-call, and overtime availability as needed.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Strong data entry skills, with the ability to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour.Basic understanding of computers, with a preferred knowledge of laboratory testing and/or specimen processing.Previous laboratory experience preferred, with a medical background and understanding of clinical laboratory terminology.Previous experience in a production environment is a plus.Ability to stand, lift, and move for extended periods.Reliable transportation to get to/from the worksite without issue.Availability to work scheduled shifts and stay for the entire shift.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional growth and developmentCollaborative and supportive work environment Contribute to improving healthcare outcomes and patient experiencesMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout The Company:Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
