This is an exciting, foundational role where the selected candidate will shape best practices, modernize legacy systems, and build the data foundation that supports future growth in cloud, AI, and next-generation platforms.The DBA will blend hands-on technical expertise with big-picture strategy. From optimizing performance and guiding data architecture to supporting compliance and cloud migrations, this role is ideal for someone who wants variety, responsibility, and the freedom to innovate.What You'll DoTune and optimize queries to improve performance and scalabilityManage backups, restores, high availability, and disaster recovery strategiesEnsure database security, auditing, and compliance with industry regulationsModernize legacy schemas, stored procedures, and ETL scriptsPartner with development teams to improve database design and efficiencyArchitect modern data solutions including Data Lakes, Warehouses, and pipelinesWork with AWS services such as RDS, Glue, Athena, S3, and DMS for scalable solutionsLeverage automation and monitoring tools to streamline operations and improve reliabilityCommunicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience7+ years of experience as a DBA in SQL Server environmentsProven ability in performance tuning, query optimization, and schema designHands-on expertise with AWS RDS, DMS, Glue, Athena, and S3Strong knowledge of HA/DR, backups, encryption, and compliance frameworksExperience modernizing legacy systems and data structuresBonus Points If You Have:Background in payments, financial services, or other regulated industriesFamiliarity with Redshift, Snowflake, or DatabricksExperience with Docker or Kubernetes for data workloadsAWS or SQL Server certificationsExperience working with file transmissions on LinuxWhy You'll Love This OpportunityBe the first dedicated DBA and have a direct influence on strategy and innovationWork with cutting-edge cloud and AI technologiesFlexible scheduling while enjoying a collaborative in-office cultureJoin a fun, friendly, and innovative company where your ideas matterCompetitive salary, benefits, and strong career growth potential
