Our community works hard in the service of students and supports one another like a family.What you will do:You would be responsible for the implementation of the curriculum in the clinical. As an Adjunct Faculty you possess current and evolving knowledge in the content along with relative clinical practice experience. You will teach the students, provide the clinical assessments and evaluations, and facilitate student centered learning.We are proactively recruiting Adjunct Faculty for Fall 2025 term (September 22 - December 14) in the following areas of our School of Nursing:* Population Health Nursing ClinicalAvailability:* Must be able to teach an 8.5 hour clinical in the Greater Chicago area. These programs are taught on-site at the Chicago campus during the weekdayEssential ResponsibilitiesTeach assigned clinical course based on approved syllabus and developed curriculumImplement evaluation methods as outlined in the approved syllabusCollaborate with nursing program administration to implement other assignments and/or evaluations based on professional experiencesAttend adjunct orientation before the start of each semesterAdhere to School of Nursing policies and procedures as outlined in the nursing student and faculty handbooks.Participate in end of course program reports and evaluationsAttend required clinical agency orientation, if applicableSupervise and maintain laboratories and equipment if teaching in the simulation/skills labQualificationsRequired:Master's Degree or higher in NursingUnencumbered Illinois License or the ability to get an Illinois LicenseMinimum of 2 years of experience working as an RN in the related clinical areaExcellent written and oral communication skillsPreferred:* 1-3 years of experience teaching BSN undergraduate nursing students in either theory or clinicalAbout the School of Nursing at NLU:National Louis University (NLU) has been educating students for over 140 years and with the new School of Nursing is ready to assist students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree to advance their education and career opportunities.UNDERGRADUATE COLLEGE CORE COMPETENCIES:* Ownership and Quality of Work: Effectively manages own work, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work within a fast-paced environment.* Organizational Commitment: Passionate, energetic, and driven to make a difference; Acts with honesty, integrity, and professionalism; Self-reflective, focused on development, and makes regular progress on development areas; Learns from mistakes and setbacks; Is adaptable and welcomes change.* Upward Management: Engages at appropriate level with supervisor in defining desired outcomes, providing status updates, and obtaining input as to ongoing project direction and process; Keeps commitments and meets deadlines without the need for reminders; Proactively shares information in a timely manner.* Collaboration: Works with colleagues, from across the organization, toward achieving common goals by sharing knowledge, learning, and building consensus.
