Sr. Java Lead

Sr. Java LeadOur client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Sr. Java Lead for their Austin, TX location. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, engage directly with client stakeholders, and deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions. Lead architecture, design, and development of Java-based enterprise applications. Create HLDs, LLDs, service contracts, and integration designs. Design and implement microservices and event-driven systems. Develop production-ready code and reusable frameworks/components. Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure application security. Collaborate with business, product, infrastructure, and engineering teams. Requirements: Seeking a highly visible, customer-facing Sr. Java Lead to drive architecture, design, and development of enterprise applications. Java 17/21 with strong J2EE and OOP expertise. Spring Boot, Spring Security, Microservices Architecture. Strong Database & SQL experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB preferred). Kafka/RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, REST/gRPC. Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and scalable architectures. 12+ years of software engineering experience. 4+ years in Technical Lead/Solution Architect roles. Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
