Your opportunitySenior Manager, Financial Insights StrategistThe Charles Schwab & Co is seeking an engaging financial educator, journalist, and on‑camera influencer to lead the content creation of the company Social Media program. The successful candidate would serve as the face of short‑, medium‑, and long‑form social video content across Schwab’s digital platforms. This role is a highly visible opportunity to help educate the next generation of investors across Schwab’s largest social platforms, including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging channels.You will work closely with producers, editors, writers, and legal and compliance partners to deliver clear, accurate, confident, and relatable financial education on camera. Creativity and adaptability are central to success in this role—you will act as a writer, researcher, storyteller, strategist, and on‑camera host. While the primary focus is short‑form vertical video (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels), comfort with longer‑form video content is also essential.This role requires deep fluency in social media culture and video storytelling, a passion for financial markets, strong writing skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into meaningful, compliant content that resonates with Gen‑Z and Millennial audiences.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the on‑camera host for short‑, medium‑, and long‑form social video content across Schwab’s digital platformsExplain investing, trading, and financial planning concepts in a clear, approachable, and engaging manner—translating complex ideas for beginners while demonstrating credibility with more experienced investorsBuild trust and rapport with younger investors by covering compelling financial topics, including: Investment strategiesPersonal financial planningMarket trends and macro themesTechnical analysis, derivatives, and digital assetsDevelop original, platform‑specific content tailored to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social channelsStay ahead of social and video trends while maintaining Schwab’s trusted, compliant, and educational brand voiceCollaborate closely with internal partners—including subject matter experts (SMEs), producers, editors, and legal and compliance teams—to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignmentEngage authentically with audience comments and questions where appropriate and in accordance with company policiesAnalyze content performance using platform analytics to identify opportunities, optimize formats, and continually improve resultsWhat you haveRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; degrees in Journalism, Finance, Economics, Communications, Marketing, English, or Creative Writing preferredSolid understanding of personal finance, investing, and financial marketsDemonstrated experience creating engaging video content, particularly short‑form vertical videoFamiliarity with social platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, including experience growing, managing, or contributing to social channelsExperience producing content within a regulated industry or working alongside legal/compliance partnersProven ability to communicate effectively with Gen‑Z and/or Millennial audiencesStrong on‑camera presence with the ability to connect authentically and confidently with viewersExcellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, creative content across multiple formats and tonesPassion for financial markets, investing, and/or trading strongly preferredAbility to translate complex or technical subjects into engaging, useful, and relatable contentHigh level of creativity, flexibility, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyData‑driven mindset, including experience using analytics to assess performance and inform content strategyPassion for consuming and staying current with a wide range of traditional, digital, and emerging mediaStrong openness to feedback and a demonstrated desire to learn, improve, and evolve professionallyWhat’s in it for youAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
