Job DescriptionJob Title: HE Mechanic / TechnicianLocation: Fredricksburg, VA areaDepartment: ServicePosition Type: Full-TimeWork Environment: Shop-based with occasional field service workPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Mechanic / Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy construction and specialty equipment. This position is primarily shop-based, with occasional field service as needed. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting abilities, particularly in hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and powertrain diagnostics, and is comfortable working on complex equipment in a fast-paced environment.Pay & Benefitscompetitive wagesfull medical, dental and vision coveragecompetitive vacation, holiday and sick days401K savings planspension programscompany bonus program.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems, including CAN-bus controlsPerform major component repairs and rebuilds on diesel engines, powertrains, undercarriage systems, transmissions, and structural componentsConduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure safety, performance, and reliabilityComplete service documentation, parts lookups, and work order reporting accurately and timelyPerform shop repairs while safely operating heavy equipment and support toolsPreferred Experience & QualificationsExperience working on heavy construction equipment such as earthmoving, foundation, utility, crane, mining, or specialty equipmentStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systemsExperience with electronic controls, CAN-bus systems, and diagnostic software is highly desirableSolid understanding of diesel engines and powertrain systemsAbility to interpret service manuals, schematics, and wiring diagramsStrong safety awareness and attention to detailApply Today!To be considered for this opportunity or to confidentially discuss further, please submit your resume to mark.jeffree@gogpac.com.
