Overview The job profile for this position is Software Engineering Advisor, a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role with Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc.Responsibilities Design and develop application vision, design technical approach, and elicit requirements for new automation capabilities and process orchestration to initiate new Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) projectsPrepare Pega workflow designs and interface design documents, including Interface Control Documents (ICD), data mapping documents, workflow design documents, API specification documents and authorization rules documentationSupport system integration between medical/pharmacy drug claims data platforms and other enterprise systemsUtilize exception handling, failover, and retrial strategies to produce strategies for error handling flows, queue processors, job schedules, and load balancersParticipate in sprint planning, user story sizing, velocity estimation, backlog maintenance and user story assignmentProvide technical governance to create and maintain technical enterprise assets, including reusable components, integration connectors, enterprise data models, and DevOps scripts, that promote reusability and coding standards which meet enterprise technical and functional requirementsConduct in-depth analysis of system dependencies, integration points, and business rules to mitigate risk and ensure smooth control process and implementation changesEnsure healthcare web application change releases are communicated to all stakeholdersIdentify and conduct gap analysis to optimize the process and user experiencesCreate web application profiles by designing the enterprise class structure and organization layers, user access control, and routing logic strategiesPerform user story code development and programming, unit testing, defect fixing, QA and UAT Support, release planning, production deployment, and implementation supportDrive requirement gathering sessions with business users and stakeholders and conduct technical feasibility analyses to ensure requirements can be realizedHybrid work scheduleQualifications Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related3 years of full-stack web application development experience within the Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) domain related to Medicaid and Medicare insurance programsOr a Bachelor's degree and 5 years in the sameExperience with Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC)Experience with User Interface (UI) developmentExperience with API developmentExperience with database managementExperience with DevOpsExperience with Business Project Management (BPM)Experience with sprint planningExperience with OracleExperience with exception handlingExperience with failover strategiesExperience with retrial strategiesExperience with user story code developmentExperience with enterprise class structureExperience with user access control strategiesExperience with Quality Assurance (QA) supportExperience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) supportHybrid/remote work arrangement may be available.
