Engineering Technician 1

Job Title: Engineering Technician 1 Pay Rate: $29 to $34/Hr Duration: 3 Months Location: Oxnard, CA Deployables is seeking Engineering Technicians to work with our Industrial engineering team to support Continuous Improvement efforts at our Goleta/Oxnard facilities. Roles & Responsibilities: Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance cross-functional space craft teams' safety, quality, cost, and scheduling. Participate in the identification of risks and implementation of solutions for a variety of production & process needs Hands-on activities/tasks may include but are not limited to tool control, establishing 5S systems, supporting Kaizen projects, maintaining the cleanliness of work areas and facilities, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Hands-on setup & procurement of equipment, tools, & aids for spacecraft production work areas Support other Industrial Engineers in routine work & assignments. Read & teach personnel how to interpret basic production KPIs & charts Basic Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required Minimum 1 to 4 years of manufacturing (product assembly) experience. 50lb lift requirement clause to match the assembly tech postings that we have at Goleta & Oxnard Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Can read KPIs, data & charts Basic data entry Experience Preferred: Powerpoint, Visio Good communication skills and the ability to work with others Good analytical skills Good understanding of Lean Principals Ability to lead in a team environment Skills & Qualifications: Must be willing to work overtime as required Must possess a valid state driver’s license Able to read, comprehend, and follow established written instructions without deviation Perform math and measurement functions Collect data and present it in an understandable way.
