Assistant Superintendent

To better support current backlog and the anticipated doubling of business over the next few years, Helix Electric has created a new position for a dynamic Assistant Electrical Construction Superintendent. At any given time, this superintendent will be executing projects 1M+ in electrical work in high-end multi-family projects. We have a strong reputation and extensive network of customer relationships and have consistently provided new, cutting-edge product innovations.Description Of Duties & ScopeAssisting with managing, and providing leadership for safety and environmental programsAssisting with monitoring job costing, quality reporting, forecasting and productivityAssisting with coordinating all manpower, materials, and equipmentAssisting with completing field administration: timesheets, quantity reports, purchases and the job diariesAssisting with organizing and coordinating all subcontractor activitiesAssisting with implementing and monitoring the construction plan; including scheduling and logisticsAssisting with supervising and mentoring field personnel (15+ electricians)RequirementsJourneyman Trade Certification in a related Construction trade will be considered an assetA proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budgetExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated leadership skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in MS Office SuiteExcellent knowledge of the Building CodesPhysical Demands & Requirements Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required.Able to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required.Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.Helix OffersA Full-Time Stable Career Opportunity offering Competitive wages100% Employer paid Medical & Dental with Vision options available.Life and AD&D coverage 100% employer paid with buy up optionsRich 401K Employer Match with aggressive vesting scheduleVacation, Sick Pay & Paid HolidaysTuition ReimbursementAdditional Voluntary benefits
