Manufacturing Material Area Supervisor

Material Area Supervisor - Manufacturing / Material Handling Day, Swing or Graveyard ShiftThe Material Area Supervisor is responsible for leading hourly teams that unload, store, and deliver materials to support production in an automotive assembly plant. This role ensures safe, efficient, and accurate material flow to support high-volume production operations. The supervisor drives team performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale while supporting continuous improvement through World Class Manufacturing (WCM) processes.Shift Information: Candidates must be available to work any of the plant shifts:6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Day2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Swing10:00 PM - 6:00 AM GraveyardAll new hires will complete training, after which they will be assigned a permanent shift based on need. Candidates must be open to working any assigned shift.Key Responsibilities:Lead hourly material handling teams supporting production through unloading, storage, and line deliveryDrive performance in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and moraleCoordinate day-to-day team activities to meet plant operations and business metricsSupport efficient material flow throughout the plant to meet production requirementsOversee inventory and record integrity in the assigned areaDevelop Team Leaders and Team Members to build high-functioning teamsWork across multiple teams in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environmentMaintain positive working relationships with plant management and union-represented employeesSupport and implement WCM tools and processes as they relate to material flowHelp identify and drive process improvements that increase productivity and reduce costsPractice leadership principles and reinforce plant standards within the assigned areaRequired Qualifications:Experience leading teams in manufacturing, material handling, logistics, or production supportAbility to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume operationStrong communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work onsite in Sterling Heights, MIMust be available to work any shift as required by plant operationsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in an automotive manufacturing or assembly plant environmentExperience working in a unionized manufacturing environmentExposure to WCM, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement processesExperience supporting material flow, inventory accuracy, line delivery, or plant logisticsBachelor's degree (preferred or required based on client preference)What Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your FutureHTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
