Job SummaryA growing, privately held organization is seeking an experienced Controller / Director of Finance to lead and oversee all accounting and financial operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving overall financial performance across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting operations, including AP, AR, and general ledgerPrepare and present financial reports to leadership, providing insights and recommendationsEnsure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards (GAAP)Manage month-end and year-end close processesLead annual audit processes and work with external auditorsMonitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activitiesDevelop and maintain internal controls and financial proceduresPartner cross-functionally to support business initiatives and operational improvementsSupport strategic planning through financial analysis and reportingMentor and develop accounting team membersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or CMA preferred10+ years of accounting/finance experiencePrior leadership or supervisory experience requiredStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with ERP systems and financial softwareAdvanced Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
