Industrial Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Auburn, NYSector: Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) / Anaerobic DigestionAbout the OpportunityWe’re working with a fast-scaling Renewable Natural Gas operator seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to play a critical role in keeping complex biogas and upgrading systems running at peak performance. This is a hands-on, high-impact position where your work directly influences plant uptime, gas production, and ultimately the success of a growing RNG operation. If you thrive in environments where no two days are the same—and where mechanical, electrical, and process systems intersect—this is where you want to be.What You’ll Be DoingOwn troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance across plant equipmentDiagnose and resolve faults across:Pumps, conveyors, compressors, gearboxesElectrical systems (4–20mA, 120–460 VAC)Use SCADA/HMI systems to monitor plant health and optimise performanceExecute and continuously improve preventative maintenance programmesInterpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to plan repairsUtilise CMMS systems to manage work orders and maintenance trackingSource parts, manage inventory, and minimise downtimePerform temporary fixes when needed to maintain operationsSupport operations teams and cross-train across plant functionsMaintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environmentWhat We’re Looking For5+ years in industrial maintenance (energy, waste, manufacturing, or similar)Strong experience across:Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic systemsMotors, pumps, conveyors, compressors & instrumentationProven ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical faultsExperience operating forklifts or powered industrial equipmentWorking knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practicesKey AttributesProblem-solver mindset – fixes it right, first timeStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsComfortable working independently and within a teamFlexible and reliable – willing to support on-call and out-of-hours workClear communicator with a proactive approachScheduleMonday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMOvertime + on-call rotation as requiredPhysical RequirementsLifting up to 50 lbs regularlyClimbing, bending, working in confined or awkward spacesWorking at height (ladders/platforms)Why This Role Stands OutThis isn’t just maintenance—it’s mission-critical work at the heart of the energy transition.
