Knowledge of the operations, function, and scope of authority of the school administration and Board. Thorough knowledge of the policies of the Board as they apply to the position. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Answer and service telephone calls to Transportation Department.Receive all visitors to Transportation Department Office.Maintain an appointment calendar.Open, check and distribute mail addressed to the Coordinator and/or Transportation Department.Transcribe letters, reports; prepare specifications, job-opening forms, and other items.Maintain Transportation Department files.In charge of Transportation Department records, such as:A. Maintain all transportation records.B. Research documents as needed.C. Prepare documents for distribution.8. Provides information and answers complaints relating to the department/district and refers callers to appropriate personnel or, if necessary, arranges for an appointment with the Coordinator or designee.9. Type all purchase requisitions and standing order releases for the Transportation Department, and record them as instructed.10. Other duties as may be assigned by the Coordinator or Assistant Superintendent for Business and Financial Services.
