And whoever we’re with, whatever we’re doing, we always make it real.Position SummaryReporting to Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Seamer Mechanic will be Responsible to insure safe execution of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance. Candidate must have maintenance mechanic/technician/electrical experience in a manufacturing and/or food processing plant. The ideal candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.2 years previous maintenance experienceBilingual (conversational)Must be able to read, write, and communicate in EnglishBasic math knowledgeAbility to work independently and multitaskReading and understanding safety data sheetsTeamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectivelyAbility to work in a changing environment Ability to handle high levels of stress to keep the plant and field equipment runningPosition ResponsibilitiesAbility to perform standard mechanical repairs and troubleshooting on all types of food processing equipment. Knowledge and experience of Seamers and Fillers. Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair Angelus Seamers and all types of Filling equipment. Ability to perform seam teardowns for can inspections and perform the necessary seamer adjustments on all can sizes. Strong Welding knowledge and skills. Electrical knowledge principlesMaintain a clean and safe work environment. Paperwork necessary for departmentPerform other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsFlexible for all shifts; understand and follow instructionsMaintenance and electrical experience in a manufacturing environmentManufacturing and/or food and beverage industry experience a requirementAbility to weld and use welding equipment safely (required)Ability to cut with a torch (required)Familiar with OSHA safety regulations (required)Experience with a plasma cutter (required)Experience with power tools (required)Some pipefitting experience (required)LubricationVisual inspectionsAbility to read mechanical/electrical schematicsConduct any special task as required by supervisorBe able to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout the dayFrequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance.
