Your Role: As a Sr. EHS Engineer in our semiconductor R&D environment, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, taking charge of implementation and coordination. To develop, implement and administrate all applicable environmental, health, safety (EHS). Responsible for site compliance with all federal, state and local environmental Programs or Health and Safety regulations. Provides technical support to EHS division staff, engineering, facilities, and process engineering. This position will have a primary focus on Health and Safety or Environmental programs. Responsibilities Proactively identify potential EHS hazards through risk assessments, Gemba walks, inspections, etc., and drive timely corrective actions. Provide regulatory guidance and administration support on all EHS regulations. Develops relationships with other functions (e.g., engineering, facilities) to ensure EHS aspects are considered at the beginning of new/changing operations and drives improvement existing EHS methods and techniques. Provide specialized training to employees. Manage site activities which impact areas of environmental and/or safety compliance with Federal, State, or Local regulations. Provide non-routine problem solving for engineering and maintenance groups. Perform investigation, root cause analysis and complete corrective action plans for environmental and safety incidents. Prepare and/or assist with composing reports and participating in audits. Participate in site Emergency Response Team for hazardous materials spills and medical response. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline 4+ years of industry experience Experience with Process Hazard Analysis techniques, particularly HAZOP, FMEA and What-If studies. Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, and Confined Space Entry. Preferred Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills including confident, supportive, collaborative, respectful Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in working with contractors. Have a background in Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related industry Good understanding of Semi S2, California Fire Codes, OSHA regulations, emergency response and crisis management Basic understanding of risk management and risk assessments Emerging / high growth company experience Ability of interpret technical documentation such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures, Shutdown Keys, and control narrative etc. Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations in the semiconductor industry. Pay Range for this position: $73,000 - $219,000 Our ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role, and are derived from relevant industry market data.
