The ideal candidate is organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities while contributing effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on safety and innovation.Key Responsibilities:Design mechanical/HVAC and process piping systems, including equipment selection, sizing, and layoutsDevelop tool installation designs, utility connections, and engineering diagrams (PFDs, P&IDs, airflow)Conduct field surveys and optimize system layouts based on site conditionsDesign utility systems such as compressed air, nitrogen, cooling water, and vacuum, with occasional work on more complex systems (e.g., cryogenics, hazardous gases, wastewater)Support industrial ventilation, exhaust, and lab HVAC designCoordinate with electrical and structural teams, and assist with permitting and inspectionsPerform code compliance analysis and review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawingsPrepare technical reports, cost estimates, and design documentationContribute to BIM/AutoCAD design work and support construction through site visits as neededQualifications:3+ years of mechanical/process design experience in consulting or design-build environmentsStrong experience in a Building Automation System (BAS) OR Building Management System (BMS) environmentExperience with equipment hookup design in advanced tech, biotech, or similar industriesKnowledge of relevant building, safety, and engineering codes and standardsProficiency in tools such as (either one) Solidworks, Revit, AutoCAD, BluebeamBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (PE, EIT, or LEED preferred but not required)Benefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Life and disability insuranceStrong PTO and sick leaveFun work environment with tons of perks
