The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the process, tooling, work instructions, and training required to deliver product safely, efficiently, and on time.How You Will Be Rewarded As Our Manufacturing EngineerCompetitive compensationMonday-Thursday work week working four 10-hour days (off on Fridays)Generous paid time off and Holiday PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance401(K), employee assistance programs, health savings accountKey ResponsibilitiesApply engineering principles to ensure safety in manufacturing processes that contain propellants, pyrotechnics, and/or explosivesTooling design and documentationProvide hands‑on assembly training to operations teamEvaluate existing equipment and / or systems for methods to improve safety, performance, efficiency, and reliabilityIdentify and mitigate risks associated with critical assembly operationsApply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing processDefine maintenance for equipment and tooling through coordination with maintenance teamIdentify and champion IR&D and continuous improvement projectsCoordinate and perform all necessary validation and / or process engineering evaluations as needed for manufacturing equipmentReview and provide feedback on product designs to ensure manufacturabilityAuthor and maintain product assembly work instructionsTroubleshoot and resolve tooling and equipment electrical and mechanical issuesAuthor and present oral presentations outlining/summarizing progress on selected projects and programs to both internal and external customersParticipate in and support internal and external auditsCOOPERATIONThis role requires collaboration across internal teams and with external stakeholders.LEVEL OF DECISION MAKINGThis position requires daily autonomous decision‑making capabilities when working with both internal and external customers.Skills & QualificationsBS/MS in engineering discipline or physics with ability to perform basic engineering analyses (stress, deflection, flow rate, pressure drop, and tolerance stack‑ups)3+ years of experience designing electro‑mechanical manufacturing equipment using 3D CAD software3+ years of experience working with pneumatics, controls, sensors, and PLC's3+ years of experience with SCADA systems using Ignition (or similar) is preferred but not requiredSolid understanding of metal working tolerances produced by milling, grinding, turning, and laser/water jet cuttingExperience with Lean Manufacturing and applying statistics in a manufacturing settingExperience designing, installing, and qualifying production equipment including hand tools, fixtures, gages, and semi‑automated equipmentCapable of providing hands‑on support and troubleshooting of assembly equipment in a production environmentProficiency at authoring technical documents such as test plans, test reports, manufacturing procedures, and project reportsKnowledge and experience with selection of materials commonly used in tools, gages, and assembly fixturesBasic understanding and experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), and process hazard analysis (PHA)Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operationsCompetenciesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsStrong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilitiesAction oriented with ability to work in fast‑paced environmentsLeadership or teamwork abilitiesTechnical writingWorking ConditionsFull‑time on‑site position.This position may require travel on an as‑needed basis.Work with explosives, pyrotechnics, and solid rocket propellant devices.This role may involve working in diverse settings and conditions.Note: Due to US Export Control laws and regulations; applicants selected for employment must show proof of a U.S. Person status before employment may begin.#J-18808-Ljbffr
