Building Engineer
Our client, a leading organization in the healthcare and laboratory facilities sector, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Services department supporting a dedicated oncology facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Building EngineerLocation:Austin, TXWhat's the Job?Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems within the facility. Ensure all building systems operate efficiently and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Maintain and support the BAS (Building Automation System) for clean rooms and lab environments. Assist with preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and performance. Respond swiftly to emergency repairs and maintain a safe, clean work environment. What's Needed?High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant experience. Class A license and prior experience working with a licensed contractor. Experience in commercial HVAC and general building maintenance. Must possess a Class A license and be willing to obtain certifications/licenses as required by local jurisdictions. Physical ability to perform tasks including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
