Senior Java Software Engineer

Job Description Capstone IT is helping our client find a Senior Java Software Engineer who will design, build, deploy, and test Java applications in AWS. This engineer will primarily work with Java and Spring Boot, build and consume REST-based services, and support asynchronous/event-driven integrations using Kafka. The role requires hands-on AWS deployment experience and participation in an Agile software development environment.Top 4 Skills:Java / Spring BootAWS CloudApache Kafka / event-driven messagingResponsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot.Build and deploy Java applications within AWS.Develop and support REST APIs and client/server integrations.Create MuleSoft endpoints and integrations.Build or support asynchronous event messaging using Kafka.Write and execute unit and functional tests.Participate in Agile development activities including planning, development, testing, and delivery.Qualifications:8+ years of professional Java engineering experience.Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.8+ years building and deploying Java applications to AWS using standard AWS services.Experience creating MuleSoft endpoints.Experience with Kafka and asynchronous/event-driven messaging.Experience developing and consuming REST endpoints.Understanding of client/server application architecture.Experience working in an Agile development environment.Experience with unit and functional testing.Nice to have: broader experience designing enterprise integrations and event-driven applications.
