This position will also be responsible for ensuring cabana guest needs are met and servers are meeting expectations.We are currently looking for a:Noah's Ark - Bartender and Cabana Lead - J1 StudentRoles & Responsibilities:Job Duties & Responsibilities:Supervisory Duties:Assist with the daily supervision of the Bartending and Cabana teams and any other assigned departmentsLead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Noah's Ark core valuesAct as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team membersBecome knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all assigned F&B positions and backfill these positions when neededParticipate in new-hire orientation and training activities for all assigned employeesEnsure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Wisconsin lawEnsure daily sign-in sheets are completed and submitted each dayAssist with team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesDepartmental Duties:Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner as they approach the barUnderstand and comply with all company policies and applicable state/local Health Department regulations regarding safety, cleanliness, organization, and stockingMaintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standardsPresent menus to guests and promote specials and/or specialty house drinksCheck guest identification to ensure that they meet the minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beveragesEfficiently operate restaurant equipment (e.g. telephone, juice machine, soda fountain, etc.)Maintain a knowledge of the menu items and assist guests by explaining how various menu items are preparedTake guest orders, communicate orders to kitchen, and serve food and beverages in a friendly and professional mannerPeriodically check on guests to ensure all needs and expectations are being metContinuously monitor guests for potential intoxication and determine when alcohol service should ceaseAdhere to all bar related safety training protocolsUtilize Point of Sale (POS) and registers to accurately run tabs, prepare checks, and successfully record all financial transactionsStore and stock refrigerators, ice machines, cups, straws, napkins and other service items as neededSanitize and clean service areas, bar tops, and surrounding bar areas, as neededManage to-go orders and retrieve them from the kitchen, as neededPromptly escalate any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or emergencies to the proper authoritiesAll other duties assigned by leadershipEducation and Experience:No education requirements for this position1-2 years of previous bartender experience or related rolePrevious experience with alcoholic beverage serving and associated regulations would be helpfulMust be Bartender/Server Certified (TIPS, RAMP, I-PACT, or similar) or become so within 30 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines.Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to work until later hours of the nightMust have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shiftAbility to comply with all uniform policiesAbility to refrain from on-the-job consumption of alcoholMust possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local beverage preparation and serving regulationsMust be able to speak with guests directly when other F&B leadership is not presentMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfactionPrevious experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plusAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to remain sedentary for periods of time, while using a computer or POSAbility to withstand heat and humidity from food preparation equipmentAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 pounds or moreAbility to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/toolsAbility to use step stools, as neededWorking Conditions:This role will be based in one or more F&B and/or restaurant locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environmentsFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, pollen and other weather conditionsSubject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environmentsSubject to frequent handling of cleaning chemicals and detergentsSubject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of
