Food Service Director

Waterview Lodge LLC Rehab and Healthcare is looking to add an experienced Food Service Director to their talented team of employees. This position is available immediately! As Food Service Director in a nursing home (103 beds), the ideal candidate would need to be flexible with responsibilities and act as a team player. The Food Service Director will be responsible for the supervision of kitchen staff , maintain the department schedules. and handle call outs accordingly.. The Director must be able to maintain an interesting, appetizing menu for the residents, and change it periodically so as to keep the menu fresh and new. The Director will work closely with the Director of Nursing so as to ensure that new diets are being followed and maintained. Knowledge of therapeutic diets, supervisory skills, and servSafe certified are ideal qualities. Food purchasing, food costs and inventory control are daily tasks. *The candidate must have 1-3 years cooking experience and preferably have experience in a Nursing Home setting. The candidate will be expected to participate in quarterly Quality Assurance meetings and respond to resident concerns brought up in Resident Council meetings. Competitive salary offered!
