Beach Club Bell Staff
Summary
The Bell Person is responsible for achieving guest satisfaction by creating a delightful arrival and departure experience, which includes checking in and out, escorting guests to their destination, handling, delivering and storing of guests’ luggage, communication of information and handling guest requests. TheBell Person will act as the Front Door Concierge when needed.
Essential Functions
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
Initiate contact with guests entering and departing the hotel, while opening and closing the main hotel door and guest vehicle door.
Assist Front Office Colleagues with guest check in, requests and services, including retrieval of theatre tickets, flowers and other items as requested
Ensure guest satisfaction from arrival to departure in accordance to the Forbes and Five Star standards.
Assist the Bell Desk in the ground lobby and to perform job functions with minimal supervision
Assist guests with luggage and load luggage onto carts for delivery including providing baggage checks for guests.
Responsible for flow of street traffic outside the resort and assist guests with car doors.
Provide guestroom and hotel tours. Be familiar with the entire room product including IT&T equipment. Be familiar with all hotel services including spa, member services and dining.
Collect and record guest preferences.
Maintain the cleanliness of the entrance. And ensure Bell carts, Carpets and all other supplies and equipment are at all times aligned correctly at the Front Door
Remain in assigned postposition, maintaining correct stance.
Assist guests in locating and retrieving lost luggage.
Assist guests in getting taxis and shared rides
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and evenings
Ability to exert physical effort in placing, removing and transporting guest luggage.
Remove luggage from guest rooms upon check out if needed
Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
Ability to ensure security of guestroom access.
Other duties as deemed appropriate by the management leadership
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to understand guest needs and expectations and to deliver superior customer service with little input from others
Perform job with attention to details and the ability to organize and handle multiple tasks effectively
Clear communication; effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience
Minimum 1-2 year of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment.
A minimum of 1 year of Front Office, Door or Bell experience
