Corporate Accounting Manager

This role will lead day-to-day accounting operations and manage the month-end close process, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP standards.To be successful you must possess these core value characteristics:Trust: Clear Communication. Open-minded.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform and/or review all account reconciliations on a monthly basisOversee the following:Accounting practices for HB Mechanical Group / HB GlobalAccounting for HB TransportationLease Software (Trullion)Vendor Spend (review/approve)Treasury Banking (day-to-day)Payroll ProcessAnnual Budget preparation for departmental spendWork with each Departmental Lead to assist with budget generationParticipate in annual auditAssist in Preparing monthly financial statements in a timely fashionGenerate/publish Departmental Budget-to-ActualsFor reference - Department Spend (Admin, Finance, Legal, SFR, HR, etc.)Assist Departmental Leads to understand/resolve variancesDevelop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting proceduresEnsure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirementsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and automationSupervise and lead Corporate accountantGenerate ad hoc reports as neededAssist in accounting related projectsOther duties as assignedEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to provide accounting duties in accordance with GAAPProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as budget creation and analysis softwareExcellent managerial skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailThorough understanding of budgetary and accounting principles, practices, and policiesBachelor's degree in AccountingMinimum of 5 years of experience requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS:Experience in multi-entity or global corporate environmentCoaching experience to positively influence team membersPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at timesAbility to travel to various divisions and worksites as neededThe Corporate Accounting Manager oversees the Accounting Functions for HB Mechanical Group / HB Global.
