About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to building and maintaining our core platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that support our real-time, multi-tenant environment. Your expertise will drive the development of microservices, RESTful APIs, and backend functionalities that enable seamless user experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement best practices in security and scalability. Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in backend Java development
- Proficiency in Java 11+ and Spring Boot framework
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate and ORM technologies
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQLFamiliarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and containerization technologies
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices
- Excellent problem-solving, architectural decision-making, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate effectively across teams
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
- Willingness to explore AI/LLMs for enhancing development efficiency
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
- Create and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices to support dynamic user experiences
- Enhance database performance for large, multi-tenant data loads and ensure data integrity
- Make architectural decisions focused on scalability, security, and performance optimization
- Implement secure coding practices, address vulnerabilities, and improve JVM performance
- Improve deployment pipelines through automation with GitLab CI/CD and automated testing frameworks
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, conducting root cause analysis
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Mentor junior team members and lead technical initiatives within projects
- Participate in infrastructure planning, security enhancements, and process improvements
