Primary Therapist
Job TitleResponsible for daily co-facilitation of process group, weekly individual counseling of clients, development and implementation of treatment plan with client participation, and review of treatment plan regularly with client. In addition, clinicians must also possess the ability to perform crisis intervention as needed, provide patient and family education regarding addiction and relapse prevention techniques, collaborate with other involved agencies, and identify concurrent mental health issues and make referrals as appropriate.QualificationsMasters in social work or related field from accredited university with minimum two years post-licensure. State-specific licensure required. Certified Alcoholism Counselor Certification, CADC or Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor or willing to obtain CADC/LCADC licensure within 3 years of employment. 2 –4 years of substance abuse counseling experience with Adults/Adolescents population. Ability to obtain information about, and interpret information in terms of abuse and dependence, Knowledge of the natural history of dependence, Knowledge of progression of chemical dependency and treatment approaches.
