Lead Solution Architect
Overview:
In this role you will own end-to-end solution architecture for digital products, turning business intent into engineering-ready designs. You'll work with cross-functional teams to define interfaces, data ownership and non-functional requirements, driving secure, scalable, and operable solutions. You contribute to a broader architecture ecosystem and guide multi-site, AI-enabled product initiatives. The position offers impact through modernizing integrations, API-driven interfaces, and cloud-based platforms within a global digital portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end solution architecture for digital products and operational capabilities, translating outcomes into engineering-ready designs
- Architect solutions across web/mobile, cloud services, APIs, event-driven integration, data platforms, AI-enabled capabilities and workflows
- Design production integration of AI/ML, generative AI, and intelligent-agent capabilities with governance and oversight
- Modernize enterprise operational/service capabilities and manage phased coexistence with legacy systems
- Define clean integration boundaries between domain capabilities and shared platforms, with contracts, data ownership, and security controls
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to convert intent into component designs, architecture decision records, and delivery guardrails
- Address performance, scalability, observability, and capacity for enterprise and multi-site use cases
- Architect IoT integration where relevant, including edge/cloud boundaries and data ownership
- Apply security-by-design across identity, access, secrets, and data handling
- Provide architecture leadership across design, build, test, deployment, and operations without managing projects directly
- Contribute reusable patterns and reference designs to the architecture ecosystem
- Communicate decisions to senior leaders, partners, and distributed teams
- Facilitate timely architecture decisions, surface dependencies, and involve enterprise platform owners when needed
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field 12+ years of experience designing and delivering complex enterprise or digital solutions
- Hands-on architecture experience with cloud-native apps, APIs/microservices, event-driven integration, and distributed systems
- Experience translating requirements into end-to-end solution architectures and engineering-ready direction
- Experience integrating complex enterprise integrations with legacy systems and phased migration
- Strong understanding of performance, scalability, availability, resilience, observability, and production support
- Knowledge of identity, authentication/authorization, data-access controls, secure integration patterns, and tenant-aware design
- Ability to reason across application, integration, data, platform, and infrastructure boundaries
- Effective collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data & AI, cybersecurity, infra and enterprise-platform stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences and distributed teams
- Experience guiding engineers through ambiguity and leading architecture discussions and reviews
