Entry Level Small Parts Operator - Night Shift

Job Description: Maintain a safe and clean work area Able to conduct hands on training for new employees Perform daily operator preventive maintenance on the machine. Setup and change tooling as required. Proficiently complete all production and quality documentation, CRN, ASME, etc. Maintain acceptable production rates within the skill level, by meeting or exceeding efficiency goals. Perform quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and production expectations Make sure that all pipe is deburred and edge treatment applied if necessary (ZRC) Contribute to Lean and 5s Implemented in your areas. Must be a self-starter that can work without supervision. Demonstrate superior service skill(s) and professionalism in day-to-day dealings with coworkers, setting a good example in attendance and work ethics. Willingness to learn Continually demonstrates good attendance practices, minimizing unplanned absences Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as ensuring a safe work environment is maintained Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude Strive to continually improve quality, safety, organization, cleanliness and productivity within your department. Able to understand and follow all MAP’s, PAP’s, CRN, B31.5, ASME, TMI’s, TPI’s, and SOP’s that pertain to the product Proficiently complete all documents pertaining to the process Safe operation of all overhead lifting cranes and jib booms (if required) Assist in other areas of the shop when required Job Qualifications: Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions) Read a tape measure to within 1/16” Must be proficient at using all hand tools High School diploma or GED equivalent Good communication skills, both written and verbal Able to read and understand all engineering prints related to the process Able to trouble shoot and solve problems related to the process Physical Requirements: Manufacturing environment Continuous standing, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs. Wear PPE when required – Manufacturing Areas Shift work, days, Monday through Friday and some weekends. Willingness to work any shift including weekends for training purposes and or production requirements.
