Quality Control Technician - 1st Shift (16441)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a meticulous and reliable Quality Control Technician to ensure our composite products meet strict quality and regulatory standards. This role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and collaboration with production teams to maintain and improve product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections of composite parts and materialsMeasure dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection toolsInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standardsDocument inspection results and maintain accurate quality recordsIdentify defects, non-conformances, and deviations from specificationsSupport root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actionsConduct material and product testing as required (visual, mechanical, etc.)Ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standardsWork closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issuesMaintain cleanliness and organization of inspection areas and equipmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred1-3 years of quality control or inspection experience in manufacturing (composites preferred)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentsStrong attention to detail and analytical thinking skillsFamiliarity with inspection tools and measurement techniquesBasic computer skills for documentation and reportingPreferred SkillsExperience with composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass, resins)Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.)Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methodsUnderstanding of statistical process control (SPC)Familiarity with ERP or quality management systemsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periodsLift up to 40-50 lbs as neededGood vision (corrected) for detailed inspection workManual dexterity for handling small or intricate partsWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401(k) with company matchCareer growth and advancement opportunitiesOngoing training in advanced manufacturing and quality systems
