Opportunity OverviewOur organization is looking to recruit a board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrician-Gynecologist or a Family Medicine Obstetrician to become part of our dedicated team in the picturesque Jackson, CA.OBGYN Role:The Sutter Amador OB/GYN practice offers an exciting chance for a qualified obstetrician-gynecologist to join a nurturing, community-oriented environment nestled in the beautiful Sierra Foothills. This position is primarily focused on obstetrics, catering to an underserved patient demographic. The practice operates out of a 53-bed rural hospital that has limited subspecialty support—there is no NICU, Urology, or Maternal-Fetal Medicine available on-site, although referral options exist at nearby tertiary care facilities. The hospital is recognized for its exceptional labor and delivery nursing staff and has received excellent patient feedback for its compassionate and high-quality care.On average, the practice handles 20–25 deliveries each month, characterized by low acuity and a strong collaborative team atmosphere. There are opportunities for those interested in expanding the gynecologic surgery program. Physicians will have access to robotic-assisted surgical technology, enhancing their capabilities in a rural setting. Additionally, there are chances to engage in graduate medical education, mentoring both OB/GYN and Family Medicine residents involved in a rural residency track.
