Demand Planner

Primary responsibility of the Demand Planner is to analyze inventory levels on assigned accounts and or commodity item groups, make purchases to sustain demand, achieve a goal of 97.5% fill rate and provide support to their assigned Inventory Management Team.Responsibilities:Account management/Commodity Management – low to medium level of difficultyAssist in analyzing inventory levels to forecast needsExecutes forecast changesIssue POs manually and via AWRGenerate and maintain run out reports and open PO reportsMaintain AWRReview and follow-up on daily and weekly reportsFollow up on open purchase ordersExpedite purchase orders as neededAssist Supervisor in Managing turns and review of aged inventoryCoordinate New Store ProgramsPPV maintenanceInvestigate and resolve A/P issuesResearch receiving and packaging discrepancies and proactively resolve issuesProcess returns to vendors; process inventory write off paperwork for the teamIdentify cost changes and work with the Supervisor to executeRequirements:High school diploma or GED equivalent requiredBachelor’s degree preferredMinimum 2 years’ experience as a Demand Planner highly preferredSelf-motivated and detail-orientedExcellent computer, organizational and communication skills. PC proficiency including strong Excel is required; AWR is a plus.
