Purchasing Manager or Director 📍 Andover, MA (Hybrid) 👤 Reports to: Chief Financial OfficerAbout the Role:Looking for a hands-on Purchasing Manager/Director to build and lead a disciplined, scalable procurement function within a fast-growing, private equity-backed industrial services platform.This is a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of operations, finance, and compliance—ideal for someone who enjoys building processes from the ground up, driving cost discipline, and partnering across multiple business units in a dynamic, acquisition-driven environment.Why This Role Stands Out🚀 Build the function – Own and design procurement from the ground up📊 High visibility – Partner directly with the CFO and senior leadership🏗️ Multi-entity scope – Support a growing platform with active M&A💡 Direct impact – Your work drives cost savings and margin improvementWhat You’ll DoOwn end-to-end procurement operations including vendor sourcing, purchase orders, and supplier performance trackingEnforce purchasing policies, controls, and approval thresholds aligned with CapEx and spend governanceManage vendor onboarding (due diligence, compliance documentation, insurance, etc.) and maintain clean vendor data in NetSuiteLead supplier negotiations to optimize pricing, terms, and service levelsRun RFQ/RFP processes and ensure compliance with competitive bidding requirementsPartner closely with operations and plant leaders to support sourcing needs and ensure timely deliverySupport CapEx procurement including vendor selection, analysis, and executive approval materialsTrack and report on procurement KPIs, open POs, and committed spendDrive vendor consolidation and cost-saving initiativesEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, CMMC) where applicableSupport audit readiness and internal controls in line with PE-backed reporting standardsWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (CPSM/CSCP a plus)5+ years of procurement experience in industrial, manufacturing, or related environmentsStrong background in supplier negotiation and relationship managementExperience working across multiple business units or decentralized organizationsERP experience required (NetSuite strongly preferred)Knowledge of government/defense contracting requirements (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, CMMC) is a plusThe OpportunityThis is a rare opportunity to step into a role with broad ownership, visibility, and growth potential.
