This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who takes ownership of setups, machining strategy, and dimensional accuracy.You will be responsible for machining parts to specification using proven processes, sound judgment, and disciplined execution. Success in this role comes from precision, preparation, and consistency, not rushing.Key Responsibilities:Independently set up and operate Fanuc controlled CNC Horizontal Boring Mills and/or lathesPlan and execute machining sequences that ensure accuracy, repeatability, and efficiencyVerify first article accuracy and maintain dimensional control throughout the runAdjust offsets and tooling as required to maintain blueprint tolerancesRead and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMsFollow established machining standards while contributing process improvements when appropriateEnsure all parts meet dimensional, tolerance, and surface finish requirementsConsistently and accurately use precision measuring tools including:Dial calipers and indicatorsOD/ID micrometersOther hand measuring tools as required to record dimensional requirements per blueprint drawing and inspection reportsDocument and verify measurements as requiredPerform daily machine startup, cleanup, and routine preventive maintenanceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe shop environmentSupport production needs by operating additional equipment when requiredCommunicate clearly with supervisors and teammates regarding job status or concernsDemonstrate an employee owner mindset accountable, dependable, and steadyRequirements:5+ years of CNC machining experience (large machining preferred)Proven ability to independently set up and run CNC machinesStrong blueprint reading and tolerance interpretation skillsExperience machining alloy steelsHigh attention to detail with a methodical, process-driven approachForklift and/or overhead crane experience preferredG & M code knowledge a plus (training available)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periodsOccasional lifting of 2550 lbsPushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching as requiredSteel-toe boots and safety glasses requiredCompensation & Benefits:$5/hour shift differential for 2nd shift2nd shift team members are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus (payable after 90 days)100% Company Funded ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)401(k) with company matchHealth insurance, dental and vision coverage6 paid holidaysQuarterly bonusesPTO (with two planned shutdown periods) 1 week in December and JulyTuition reimbursementEmployee referral programMach3 Core Values:Do Right AlwaysCustomer Centric TeamworkGet It Done Well and On TimeDrama Free Work EnvironmentBe Smart, Grow & Learn, Stay SmartMach3 is an Equal Opportunity Employer (Disability/Vet) committed to building a diverse and high-performing team.
