Sample Preparation Technician

*Job Title: Lab Technician I* *Location:* *2430 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601* *Shift: 1st OR 3rd Shift* *About the Role :* We are hiring an Entry-Level Lab Technician I to support daily laboratory operations, sample processing, documentation, and quality activities. This is a great opportunity for candidates with 0–2 years of laboratory, sample handling, quality control, or related experience. Relevant experience is helpful but not required. *What You'll Do :* * Retrieve and prepare samples for laboratory testing. * Perform sample preparation, including aliquoting, reagent preparation, bottling, concentration preparation, separation, sonication, and liquid rack setup. * Label, track, and organize samples accurately. * Enter sample information into the LIMS system. * Complete laboratory records, bench sheets, logbooks, and other documentation. * Perform laboratory testing accurately and within required turnaround times. * Verify and document test results. * Maintain clean and organized laboratory areas. * Wash laboratory glassware and prepare supplies for upcoming testing. * Stock and maintain laboratory supplies. * Follow SOPs, quality procedures, laboratory methods, and safety requirements. * Identify discrepancies, non-conformances, and process issues and report them to the appropriate supervisor. * Work effectively with laboratory staff and other departments. *What We're Looking For :* * High school diploma or GED required. * 0–2 years of laboratory or related experience preferred. * Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and testing. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Good verbal and written communication. * Basic computer and data-entry skills. * Ability to accurately document and maintain records. * Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, adaptable attitude.
