Heavy Equipment Operator

Department: OperationsLocation: Roxboro, NCDescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of bulldozers, excavators, rollers, motor graders and other heavy equipment used in construction, site preparation, grading, excavation, and related tasks.ResponsibilitiesComply with all company and site specific policies and proceduresSafe and efficient operation of equipment to meet production targetsPerform routine inspections, safety walk-arounds, and preventative maintenance on assigned equipmentMaintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concernsComplete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as requiredMay perform other related duties as assignedQualificationsAt least two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment preferredKnowledge of safe and productive operation of equipment, including but not limited to Caterpillar, Komatsu, etc.Must be able to climb in and out of equipment unassistedMust have and maintain a valid driver's licenseFrequently lift 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 poundsMust be willing and able to travel to other project sites throughout the Southeastern U.S. as neededAbility to have a flexible work schedule, including working overtime and weekends as neededWork Environment:Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activity, for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions.
