We are seeking for a skilled and compassionate Paramedic, who will be the face of Welltel’s innovate telehealth program, to deliver high-quality initial clinical visits in patient’s homes. We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, expert in patient engagement, passionate for patient-centered care, problem solver with a flexible and proactive mindset. Location: New York City and surrounding areas Job Summary: This role is quite pivotal as it involves being the first point of contact for patients receiving remote care. The ideal paramedic will be responsible for performing comprehensive assessments in patients' homes to support ongoing virtual care delivery. This position is field-based and requires a combination of hands-on clinical skills with technology-enabled care coordination to improve patient outcomes and expand access to quality healthcare across Staten Island and the surrounding areas. We are currently offering a part-time. This is a hourly position and the schedule is Mondays through Fridays, 4 hours per day. Responsibilities: Conduct Initial In-Home Visits: Travel to patients’ residences for scheduled initial evaluations. Establish rapport and trust with patients and caregivers. Collect medical history, perform vitals, and conduct standardized assessments. Clinical & Technical Duties: Perform basic diagnostics (e.g., blood pressure, pulse oximetry, blood glucose, ECGs). Operate mobile telehealth devices and ensure data transmission to electronic health records. Conduct medication reconciliations, assess home safety and environmental conditions, and ensure accurate clinical documentation Communicate key findings and red flags to remote providers in real time. Documentation & Compliance: Accurately document clinical encounters in EMR systems. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies. Adhere to protocols for infection control and safety standards during visits. Requirements and Qualifications: Licensed Paramedic (NREMT-P or state equivalent) in good standing. Minimum 3 years of field experience in EMS, community paramedicine, or related roles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Comfort with technology, including telehealth platforms, tablets, and diagnostic equipment. Requires proficiency in maneuvering between different systems such as Microsoft office, Expensify and EMR systems. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with effective organization and prioritization of work assignments Frequent travel to patient homes (reimbursed mileage at $0.70 per mile). Regular use of clinical tools and mobile telehealth kits. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and tolerate walking/stairs in patient residences.
