DC-based Freelance WordPress Developer (Map Project)

Only candidates residing in the Washington, DC area will be considered. This position is remote. All applicants must be U.S. citizens.Spire is seeking a skilled WordPress developer to assist in completing the final phase of a small-mid size map project. The ideal candidate should have senior-level expertise in PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, MySQL, HTML, and CSS. This is a project-based position (1099) with a term of approximately 2-4 weeks. The possibility of additional contract work will be based on performance and project requirements.What You’ll DoWork closely with the project team to understand requirements and objectives.Customize premium map plugin to integrate new features and UI/UX updates.Customize and optimize existing WordPress functionalities to meet project needs.Ensure the webpage is responsive and compatible across various devices and browsers.Collaborate with designers and other developers to implement design changes and improvements.Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the stability and performance of the website.What You’ll Bring to Spire 5+ years experience.Proven experience as a WordPress developer with a portfolio of past projects.Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, Ajax, MySQL, HTML, and CSS.Strong understanding of WordPress architecture and best practices.Experience with mapping libraries and APIs (e.g., Google Maps API) preferred.Familiarity with responsive design principles and techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.If you meet the qualifications above, please submit your resume and hourly rate requirements for consideration.
