Job Details:Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager – North JerseyA well-established geotechnical engineering firm in North Jersey is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer / Technical Manager to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys a mix of design, field oversight, and client interaction on high-impact infrastructure and development projects.Key Responsibilities:Design of deep and shallow foundations, retaining walls, and bulkheadsManage and oversee subsurface investigations (SPT borings, CPT, VST, etc.)Perform geotechnical analysis including settlement, bearing capacity, and pile drivabilityPrepare detailed geotechnical reports and design recommendationsReview contractor submittals, RFIs, and construction documentsProvide field oversight including subgrade inspections and foundation installationsMentor and train junior engineersInterface with clients, attend project meetings, and assist with proposalsQualifications:BS and/or MS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering5+ years of geotechnical engineering experienceStrong background in foundation design, SOE, and subsurface investigationsExperience with NYC/NJ building codes is a plusProficiency with AutoCAD, gINT/OpenGround, DeepEx, GRLWEAP, APile, and Seep/WOSHA 30 and HAZWOPER certifications preferredWhat’s Offered:Competitive salary and bonus structureStrong project pipeline including infrastructure, waterfront, and urban development workLeadership opportunities with a clear growth pathCollaborative and technically strong team environmentTo apply, submit resume to jd@libertyjobs.comJoseph P.
