DescriptionProvides protective services to schoolchildren crossing streets at intersections.Examples of DutiesStops traffic. Assists children in crossing streets by leading them.Communicates with police department members on a portable radio. Reports any accidents or traffic problems at intersections.Fills in for other crossing guards during course of year.Typical QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:Ability to read and write and minimal experience required (less than 6 months). High school or GED preferred.
