Power Distribution Designer

About the CompanyOur team is looking for a Power Distribution Designer to join the team! This is a fully remote role but candidates MUST live between Jackson, MS and South Memphis. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team within a great company!About the RoleThe role will be fully remote doing 80% power distribution design and up to 20% local fielding. The only overnight travel may be at the beginning for training. Candidates must be self-motivated and have own reliable car to use for fielding.ResponsibilitiesThis position focuses on fielding and then creating power distribution designs (small wire changeouts, pole changeouts, etc) for a large energy client.Training on the software will be provided.QualificationsCompleted HS diploma2+ years of experience in the utility industry, ideally within power distribution designKnowledge of compatible units for the utility Prior experience with design/work management software including, DDS, PoleForman, Maximo, GDT, etcRequired SkillsAbility to learn new design software if applicable Reliable car, will have up to 20% field time (can be reimbursed mileage)Great communication skills and professionalismBe located in target areasAble to work 80% remotely and up to 20% at field sitesPreferred SkillsEngineering or technical degreesAny experience within utility/power industryPrior experience within power distribution designEqual Opportunity StatementWe are committed to diversity and inclusivity.
