Sr Financial Analyst

This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with financial, operational, and strategic leadership in a matrix reporting environment with multiple stakeholders across different internal groups. We are looking for candidates with a strong planning and analysis background with an understanding of the fundamentals of general accounting. Experience within the biotech/life sciences industry is a plus. This role will report to our AD, FP&A and will be a San Diego based/on-site role.If you possess the following and want to make a meaningful impact, we invite you to explore this role.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Establish solid business partnership with key business functions and provide analytical support and financial guidance to help with various business decisions: this includes developing new analyses and improving reports and metrics to better support business partners' decision-making processManage, improve and streamline the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for the team, including operating expense, headcount, and capital expendituresClosely align with Accounting function month end processesCreate standardized reporting packages to effectively communicate relevant informationDevelop process improvements for scaling the finance department and implement in collaboration with other FP&A team membersEducation and Experience:Minimum of a Bachelors Degree (Master's is preferred) with 5+ years of relevant experience in a finance roleExperience in biotech or life sciences industry a plusExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills/modelingProven track record in business partner or corporate FP&A roleAbility to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills requiredStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are requiredDemonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task, fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 poundsLocation: San Diego – on-siteTravel: Up to 10%Job Type:Full-time, ExemptBase Compensation Pay Range:$104,000 - $137,000In addition to base compensation noted above, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off. Please note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
