CT Tech Location: Rochester, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,164 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: PET/CT Technician Profession: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: Varying shifts of either 7 AM to 3:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Nuclear Medicine License: New York State License Certifications: BLS Certification, ARRT Certification with CE credits, CT Certification Must-Have: - CT experience - Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) Description: Review patient history and physician's orders. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Position patients and perform imaging procedures. Ensure proper imaging techniques related to patients' age and ability to understand procedures. Review patient information and interpretation of data to confirm an appropriate plan and intervention. Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results. Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and regulations. Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate. Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.
