Make clear commitments and follow through.Position SummaryThe Intern- Facilities Reliability will support reliability and maintenance initiatives that ensure the consistent, safe and efficient operation of critical facilities and equipment. This role is designed to build foundational skills in reliability engineering through hands-on exposure to preventive and predictive maintenance programs, asset performance tracking, and root cause analysis.This position will report to the Associate Director of Reliability to help advance the vision of Reliability Excellence. The intern will be based in RTP, NC.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport Facilities and LaboratoriesLearn Asset Management strategies including Criticality Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects AssessmentsReview notes from group sessions and summarize conclusions in a standard presentationPartner with Facilities and Laboratory managementObserve maintenance workflowdsParticipate in Criticality Assessments and FMEA sessionsAssist in translating analysis into maintenance strategyMaintain database of asset criticalityCommunicate status of effortPresent results of efforts and next stepsMinimum RequirementsMust be pursuing a BS in Engineering or closely associated technical fieldMust be at least a (Sophomore, Junior, Senior) in university at the time of your applicationStrong sense of accountability and ability to prioritize multiple tasksExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailFlexible and willing to support a variety of tasks for the (department) teamAvailable to work full-time at the office during the summer months (May-August) at an AskBio officePreferred Education, Experience And SkillsPrior internship, work, or volunteer/extracurricular experiencePrior experience working in a lab environmentCMMS experience is preferredPrior experience with maintenance and computerized maintenance management systemsProactive and solution-driven mindsetStrong sense of accountability and ability to prioritize multiple tasksExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailFlexible and willing to support a variety of tasks for the (department) teamAskBio Inc.
