Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesDignity Health Nevada is looking for an Internal Medicine Residency Program Director to join our team! Administers and operates the internal medicine residency program, including teaching, scholarly activity, resident education and selection and evaluation and promotion of residents, Supervises residents, faculty and office support personnelAdministers and maintains a learning environment conducive to educating the residents in each of the ACGME Competency domainsDirects recruitment of residents, faculty, chief residents, and staffDevelops of policies and procedures that guide and support the Internal medicine programCoordinates with faculty for residency rotationsMonitors residents for stress, sleep deprivation, excessive fatigue or other performance inhibiting conditionsEnsures compliance with rules and regulations mandated by the ACGMEProvides clinical care for internal medicine patients in the inpatient and/or outpatient settingJob RequirementsMinimum Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in graduate medical education, preferably minimum of three (3) years of experience in graduate medical education leadership as associate program director, track director, etc.Evidence of academic scholarship, including publications, regional and national presentations, curriculum development and dissemination, etc.MD/DO licensureSuccessful completion of ACGME/AOA accredited Internal Medicine residency training programActive ABIM certificationCurrently licensed by Nevada Medical Board or the ability to obtain a Nevada medical licenseAbility to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican hospitalsStrong interpersonal communication skillsAbility to travel as needed between clinical training sitesWhere You'll WorkFor over 70 years, Dignity Health–St. Rose Dominican has been more than a hospital system — it's been the heart of Southern Nevada's healing mission.
