Loan Operations Specialist, Salina KS

The Loan Operations Specialist supports the full loan lifecycle—from processing and booking through funding and servicing. This role ensures loan documentation, system boarding, and ongoing loan maintenance are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The specialist works closely with lenders, loan portfolio managers, and retail teams to deliver a smooth and positive loan experience for customers.How You’ll ContributePrepare and maintain loan documentation for new, renewed, commercial, and consumer loansReview approved loan packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to bookingAccurately and timely board new loans into the core processing systemTrack, monitor, and clear documentation exceptions and ticklersProcess loan advances, payoffs, payments, adjustments, and correctionsMonitor escrow accounts, insurance coverage, and collateral documentationComplete escrow disbursements and conduct escrow analyses as requiredRespond to customer, lender, and internal inquiries regarding loan accountsWork collaboratively with lending staff and operations teams to resolve issuesAssist with problem resolution, exception handling, and ongoing account maintenanceThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Laser Pro or other loan processing software preferredAbility and willingness to learn bank operating systems and proceduresStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsA self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented approachHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior banking or loan operations experience is a plus but not requiredHoursFull time hours Monday-Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PMBenefitsBSB offers a competitive starting wage, with pay starting commensurate with previous experience and salary history.
