An opportunity is available for a skilled Radiation Therapist to manage comprehensive patient care within a busy cancer center setting. This position involves handling a patient load of approximately 64-68 individuals daily across two advanced treatment units. Situated along the Rock River, it offers a balance of urban and outdoor lifestyles, making it an ideal place for professionals seeking both career and quality of life.Responsibilities:Deliver precise radiation therapy treatments using two linear accelerators (Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE).Operate and maintain accurate documentation with ARIA record and verify system, with an upgrade to version 18.1 upcoming.Manage daily patient treatment schedules, adjusting hours as needed to accommodate patient volumes.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.Adhere strictly to safety standards and protocols.Qualifications:Radiation Therapist certification from ARRT and IEMA.Current Illinois state license for Radiation Therapy.Proven experience in mid to large hospital settings with significant patient volume.Ability to manage treatment for 64-68 patients per day while maintaining accuracy and care quality.Strong organizational and multitasking skills to function independently.Schedule:Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Flexible hours based on patient needs.This role is a 13-week contract opportunity, suitable for professionals looking to contribute their skills in a dynamic cancer care environment.
