The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures. We offer competitive wages and exciting company resources.Responsibilities:Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premisesCirculate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect propertyGuard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rulesEnforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistanceEscort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer propertyWrite detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional mannerMonitor for irregular or unusual activitySecure facility and designated areasEnforce facility and company policies and proceduresInvestigate and prepare reports on incidentsQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalentMust have an active NC PPSB Armed Security LicenseMUST possess either a 9mm or 40cal semi-automatic firearm, 3 magagines, and at least a level 2 retention holster.MUST be able to score 80% or higher on the NC PPSB armed guard qualification.Ability to stand or walk for long periods.Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis.Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules.Must have reliable transportation.Must have good communications skillsAbility to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periodsMust be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behaviorCertification Requirements:Armed Security LicensePPSB Security LicenseEducation Requirements:High School DiplomaAdditional Information / Benefits:401K/403b PlanShort Term DisabilityDental InsurancePaid VacationLong Term DisabilityVision InsuranceMedical InsuranceLife InsuranceThe following screenings are required:Finger PrintingEmployment VerificationCriminal Background CheckAct 235 CertificationDrug Screen
